How do red velvet feel right now?

I saw some fans making theories trying to connect RV to Aespa's story.

But honestly, i think they're reaching. The massive difference in marketing/promotions between Aespa's new comeback and Wendy's solo is eye opening.

I'm not so sure if it's reaching though. Sure, the fan theories are often farfetched and might be completely wrong. But that doesn't speak for the SM people's plans and intentions with the SM Culture Universe, and so far they've proclaimed that their intentions go beyond Aespa with it.

Like Siwon of Super Junior stated about it, 'SMCU is not just a world view interpreted as a symbol or metaphor, but an attractive character and story. The storytelling content is a new vision and project for expressing artists and music. These SMCU projects soon started with the girl group æspa, including æspa in SMCU, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, etc.'

And in a statement, Lee Soo Man went on to say that SMCU will express artists and music through storytelling content and is already set to include EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and more.

You can already see it in some NCT MV's too, where SMCU terminology (everything that's in CAPS) like KWANGYA popped up.

They probably feel happy that sooner than later the group idol phase will be over and they will begin a new more private chapter of their lives
