About the western media about the Palestine/Israel colonialism

  • I saw a Uk interview and they were like "but the reaction/but hamas did this" they never bring up the instigator or what started it all. They only discuss the reaction but not the action that instigated it which is people being evicted from their homes one by one for the settlers to take their place.

Idk like throughout history, it's always the same discourse. Do they even actually believe what they are saying??

  • I recently did something about this for school

This is the video I used

  • The western media is extremely pro israel, you can't say anything bad about it without either being called a antisemite or if you have to bring up hamas firing rockets (but don't need to bother to explain why those rockets are being fired) so you seem fair/impartial. Media is fine to call out ethnic cleansing or genocide in other parts of the world but a line is drawn when it comes to isreal, you're not allowed to call them out for multiple war crimes.

The thing is there are christian and jewish palestinians who are also being opressed by the zionist state.

  • Same here in my country. Media was reporting it like it was israel is the victim and people are believing it.

    :peperain:

This is why retweeting ,sharing and spreading awareness on what's really going on is really important!

    • Official Post

Western media is very pro-Israel and always victimize them. If you call Israel out, you'll be labelled as anti-Semitic even though anti-Semitism /=/ anti-Zionism. They only show the 'all Muslims are terrorists' part(which isn't true!) and not the fact that Muslims are actually suffering. They're twisting the facts so that's why it's important for celebrities to speak out, and to find your info from infographics and stuff can really help.

This. They always call the Chinese government out for their genocide, ethnic cleansing and other inhumane things(which is good), but nothing is done when it comes to Israel.

The American government also takes tons of our taxes(like 3 billion yearly) to donate to the Israelian government, and our money is going to killings and bombings of innocent lives. And either way, a sane human shouldn't defend this, it's disgusting. Alot of people have a right to be mad about this.

That's the thing, that's never brought up. There was a pretty significant event earlier this year where israel trying deporting black jews migrants who had lived their for years because they're not Jewish enough. Where was the outcry against israel racism especially during the BLM movement across the world? Nowhere. If that doesn't get attention then why would the lives of those already living there in oppression for decades matter anymore?

It's all pretty sad how an aparteid state is basically allowed, no promoted, to exist in this day and age.

America is one the main reasons the middle east is such a constant state of disarray.

Iran, the country they have beef with including carrying out an assassination of a military leader, has its current anti America gov because of America being behind a coup to put them in charge in the 50s.

The illegal Iraq war which destabilised the country and killed around million of civilians from invasion alone and more from the car bombings and stuff.

Taliban was created by America arming fighters to fight off any Russia/Soviet influence in a proxy war in Afghanistan

Israel being funded by America to commit war crimes and essentially committing genocide for decades

  • Sheikhb Jarrah was evicted from his home after speaking out against the persecution of Palestinians on western news media. It was painfully obivous which narrative CNN was trying to sell in the interview.

  • Actually even before the US existed the Middle East had a lot of problems, in particular due to ethnic competition, which superficially transformed into sectarian conflicts. America just takes advantage of this to profit

I know problems existed before America but I'm just saying how a foreign power has heightened tensions and conflicts in the areato greater levels in the span of a few decades. It'd be be like if you and your siblings fought throughout your lives but then a another random person comes along and starts and escalates shit even more.

But at a certain point fighting siblings have to mature and realize the position they are in, instead of doubling down on the conflicts

But what about the third party who came in? If they came in and your took your siblings side even if you want to reconcile you still have the other person to deal with and if they have more influence over your sibling then it's harder to let bygones be bygones.

Take Palestine. The British fucked up by taking existing occupied land and giving it to new people leading to isreal and that of course brought about teh initial fighting. But the backing israel gets allows them to have wepaons of mass destruction and freely conduct racism, apartied, gencoicde... the works all without any repercussions. So it went from Palestinians v israelis to Palestinians v israelis + America. Cant really double down on conflict between 2 sets if there's actually more than 2 sets in the game especially as America has time and time again shown it's not impartial at all (like recently recognising east Jerusalem as israeli which violates any sort of 2 state peace agreement).

Obviously UK/US are imperial powers and there's nothing Palestinians can do against them because they need a Jewish base there. The most sensible thing to do is to use the rest of the neighboring Arab & Muslim countries to help represent Palestinians to work out a deal similar to what the US did with Native Americans. Obviously this means resettlement to other areas but Israel/US/UK would have to pay them a lot in retribution. That can only happen if these ME nations combine their influence/power to be able to negotiate a compromise instead of jingoism, which is all they can muster

Yeah i saw that. They're trying to silence them

  • This is unexpected. Western media will always spin it in a way to make Israel look good. This time around they look so bad that they need to use the Hamas card (which Hamas just took the bait and will give the excuse for Netanyahu's master plan go forward).
