High Teen vs Teen Crush

High Teen and Teen Crush are both concepts that have been rising in popularity for the past year or so. They are both pretty similar concepts geared toward the teen demographic, but they do have some key differences.

Teen Crush:

Teen Crush focuses more on the badass side of the teen concept, taking a lot of inspiration from Girl Crush while still having the concept resonate with teenagers. The lyrics are often about self-love and confidence. And while they mostly show the idols performing being badass, there are moments of fun put in to up the "teen" in Teen Crush.

High Teen:

While Teen Crush falls more on the Girl Crush side of the spectrum, High Teen falls on the opposite, Cute. Taking inspiration from the cute concept, High Teen is cuter and more bubbly than Teen Crush. The lyrics often talk about love and friendship. And while High Teen may be cuter than Teen Crush, when put beside cuter songs, the bits of maturity in the concept makes it feel slightly out of place.
