When Koreans say someone "looks like a cartoon character" that is a compliment?

not to me for sure

but if someone wants to look like a cartoon character, i guess they'd be really proud

if by 'cartoon character' they mean jinwoo from solo leveling or someone like that then sure

idk but if someone said i looked like a cartoon charecter, i would take it as a compliment because i think of cartoons to be cute lol

Idk...maybe it's like saying someone looks like a doll or a Barbie but in the best way possible.

Well, some cartoon characters can be cute, so maybe that's a way of saying someone looks cute? Or maybe it has to do with expressions? Because cartoon characters are very expressive so maybe saying someone looks like a cartoon character is a way of saying that someone is fun and expressive in the way they act?
