I mean someone you are in a relationship with, i guess romantic feeling is already part of it.

I found this cool quote that explains the difference between a girlfriend/boyfriend (dating) & a partner
"Having memories for life
Or having a person for life"
But then I also found this interesting statement on this site: Why Some People Use The Term Partner For Their S.O.
"Partner is simply a way of describing someone you're romantically or sexually involved with. It doesn't necessarily indicate any particular level of seriousness or commitment, although some people do tend to associate the word with a more committed relationship."

here's my definition
a bf/gf is like leasing or renting a property - try it out - it may be short term or long term
marriage is like buying a house - yes you can move but it's troublesome and generally for the long term

I don't think there's one clear answer. The term is loose in my opinion, as it can also be used for actual friendship.
Rather than those labels I prefer to have a connection to someone's self, or soul if you rather that doesn't really need a label. Nowadays it's so complicated relationships.
The tl;dr answer - If someone is my bf/gf they are my person. I'm very serious with relationships and don't use the terms lightly. They have made a special connection with me, and that's something I take very seriously.
