Yes when my father passed away a few months ago. When I first heard the news, I was in shock and felt numb like I didn’t know how to feel. I had already lost my mother ten years earlier but to lose both parents. I was talking to someone and they said it’s completely normal to feel this way.
After I cry for a long time, yes, I feel emotional numbness.

I tend to feel really deeply and passionately, I only get emotionally numb when my depression acts up in a certain way, I just don't want to feel anymore at certain points so I shut off and become numb.
