Imagine if instead of 2015, Twice debuted in the 5th gen of kpop, with their discography completely the same, would they succeed in this new era of kpop? Would Cheer Up, TT, Knock Knock, What Is Love, etc smash on the charts if they were released today? Would Twice be insane album sellers if they came out today? Thoughts?
If TWICE debuted today would they see the same success?

Hmm... What a grim timeline that would be for me. I would have likely still been listening mainly to boy groups up until 2020. Honestly, I don't even want to think about it.

Can't say. It's an if statement

Without Blinks to fight to the death? Boring

You'd like that, wouldn't you?

Honestly, I don't know if they'd stand out, knowing there was a huge influx of girl groups over the past 5 years or so in this generation.

None of whom have the star power of Twice. That's the problem with this generation of groups.

Imagine having Tiktok and dance challenges for early Twice

I disagree with the last part. Twice most definitely had star power and their variety skills were part of their charm when they were rookies.
-
They'd be even bigger

The real question is: which groups would be less popular if they debuted today?

It's more about people force the idea of "star factor" to anyone successful.

Twice aren't "anyone successful." They're Twice.
