So is anyone watching Heated Rivalry ?

  • show of the year, I fear :meme-negative-man:

can't believe this week's episode is already season finale

Show of the past 3 years for me .

You don't know this but you inspired my avatar . I wanted to steal yours as soon as I saw it but I thought that would be a down right crime.

I'm basically salivating for new sexy scenes in the cottage

    Omg ;(

I saw you in the forums with your avatar a few days ago and I was almost quoting you to comment about it

I haven't read the books yet, but Heated Rivalry already dominated my timeline so much that I basically already know what will happen. I think the spicy scenes will compensate for the lack of them in episode 5 :meme-negative-man:

    Ooh same

I have neither read the books or saw th show but there's so much content everywhere that I've already basically seen every scene

    Tomorrow's the day!!

  • Have you seen Hudson and Connor signed for at least 3 seasons? We will be eating good for some time

I hope It doesn't take too long until S2

yeah i really enjoy knowing that their careers are set

because they do genuinely deserve careers

and im probably gonna stay on the lookout for all the future seasons with them

I agree. The thing about Heated Rivalry is that not only the story is entertaining and you can easily feel drawn to the characters, but the actors are also so charismatic and make you root for them.

When I watch their interviews, they seem very authentic when they talk about the characters they are playing and they seem grateful for this opportunity.

yes exactly. i must say the book, atleast the excerts i've seen on my twitter timeline, make it seem like a second rate smut i've read on Ao3. its really these 2 that made the whole story interesting in my opinion. And some of the scenes ive seen were a bit cringe dialogue for me idk. but that is really only cause of the writing. And they are so funny. Like the hospital scene is so funny, and soooo cute, and its 1000% because of their acting.

i just like love those 2. i've somehow seen most of the interviews they've done. because they keep showing up on my timeline. And connor is really sweet while hudson is a freak. its very entertaining.

I think I agree with you about the books. I'm planning to read them, but I've seen several pages and dialogues across social media from random moments between the characters and the writing is... something. It seems to me the direction and the acting levels up the original material. But I will wait to read them before having a more solid opinion on it.

I watched Episode 6 early today and from what I've heard about the cottage, I was expecting It would have a lot more sex scenes and more detailed, but I'm pleasant surprised about the difference. It seems the character development and the domestic dynamic and sentimental intimacy between Hollanov where priority over sex.

may i ask how you're watching all the episodes ?

  • One of the rarest ocassions where show is much better than the book. Book is just full of smut which person like me would finish in 2 hours (I tend to just scroll through smut pages loosely without paying attention, and book is like 60 percent smut😂)

Direction and acting sold it for me. I tend to dislike shows with messy situationships but this was really well done. Also some of the shots are soo pretty. It has lower budget but direction makes it almost looks classy and grand.

This show is really a gem. Wether they are nude or not. And its even more impressive cause they had the tiniest budget

i'm so happy they have each other. both of them are going through this for the first time, it must be overwhelming. i'm so happy for them, it's like i know them. they are so talented and they deserved all the fuss that's around them. they get all the attention at every event they appear. bless.

and i'm kind of annoyed that some people are talking about connor's ass. yes, it's fine but that man CAN ACT.

we've been bless with everything related HR.

  • I was saying the same thing to Aeicy a few days ago.

I believe that not only the story and the characters are charismatic, but I think Jacob's direction, Connor and Hudson's acting, their commitment to Shane and Ilya, as well as their visible affection for the roles, made a significant difference in the series' success.

I usually don't care much about the actors from the series I enjoy, but I've been rooting for both of the leads so much. It makes me happy to see them getting success and receiving love.

    let's switch to here.

they love their character and they are passionate about the show and that shows. yes, they are phenomenal but without jacob we wouldn't get what we got.

this show is the proof that you don't need a big budget. just have a good story, great actors and director. i still cannot believe how good the show is. they deserve all the awards but won't get them because it's 100% canadian show. but at the same time i'm happy. i read that someone told jacob to have them have sex in s2 and that we need the show to be from female perspective :clown: american executives don't know what they re doing. you have successful books that you're adapting, USE IT/THEM!

Why do they think we need it from a female perspective? I love the fact the director is a gay man ;judgingpepe:

i think that cringe dialogue can be elevated by good actors. i mean, there's nothing really special about this show, it's a romance story but it's deservingly highly rated. imo it can be doable.

people who are complaining about sex scene - i get them. but they are there for a reason, they are part of character development. first 2 episodes were really heavy on casual sex but then in ep 4 we see on screen that everything changes. i'm glad there's no sex scene in ep 5; yes, we get, they like to have sex but the focus is on emotional aspect. ep 6 had two - one is funny, 2nd is passionate. it seems that there are more than that in the books but i'm glad they ended up not including them.

i saw this on twitter and it made my laugh ^^
