  • I think changing the lyrics was the better option instead of performing another song because:

    1. They have a limited discography. They had already performed at MAMA last year, so they can't reuse songs such as "MEOW" and "BODY" without seeming repetitive. Other songs ("Lit Right Now" and "Hands Up") wouldn't have the same impact in terms of the energy they were going for.

    2. They definitely put in a lot of preparation to perform "BURNING UP," as indicated by the dance break. I don't think they would have liked to let go of that.

    3. "BURNING UP" is their most recent release.

  • Changing the lyrics may have been their only option. Their options are limited due to being a newer group. The only other option would be to perform their lesser popular songs and possibly covers. However, they most likely had to perform one of their recent popular songs, so it made sense to change the lyrics. Also, I think the lyric change is fine because it still sounds good to sing imo. Also, it would be hard to find a suitable change after most likely practicing the set for weeks.

They did a good job with the performance

  • i'm surprised they also had the time to change the backtrack lyrics. you can hear the backtrack "turn it, turn it up". wonder if they did it in the studio or back at the hotel?
