(Apparently it was composed by a bunnies member )
The photo above is from an event today.
South Korea's new President Lee Jaemyung, whose son had made a stir on his comment about Karina some time ago, invited a bunch of people for an event.
Since Jaemyung became President after the previous one had attempted a martial law and was ousted out, he did not have a proper inauguration so he used the 80th anniversary of Korea's independence, known as V-J Day in USA (and a day when the Japanese idols just do not do anything, including showing up in TVs) , and he summoned Korea's important people to the event.
So, Korea's 10 largest moguls were assembled in his event, namely,
Jay Lee, the Owner of Samsung
Choi Taewon, the owner of SK Group
Chung Eui-seon, the owner of Hyundai Motors
Koo Kwangmo, the owner of LG Group
Shin Dongbin (aka Shigemitsu Akio - long story which i will skip today), the owner of Lotte retail group
Kim Donggwan, the son of the owner of Hanhwa, a defense company
Heo Taesoo, owner of GS Group, an oil processing company
Chung Yongjin, half owner of Shinsegae Department Store (and a cousin of Jay Lee), a flamboyant figure also known as the maternal uncle of All Day Project's Annie
Cho Wontae, owner of Korean Air and the guy behind Bang in the above photo.
and, the 10th was, lo and behold,
Bang Sihyuk, Chairman of Hybe corporation.
Although Bang is in a legal trouble, since he was considered to be important enough to be counted as one of the top ten moguls of Korea, he seems happy since he seems to think that he can get out of his legal troubles, like all the moguls , some of them, like Jay Lee, having stints at prison but getting out without too much damage.
Bang could have moved BTS , or at least Jungkook, out of Korea and let them compete against Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, Kendrick Lamar and all others getting uppity against it and stample over them and continued to remain as the world's most powerful person as far as pop culture was concerned.
But he traded all of that for this, so he could finally be able to hobnob with Korea's biggest moguls.
Meanwhile BTS' stars have fallen significantly, now being stepped over by virtual idols as well. Some BTS haters say if Huntr/x , read Kim E/Jae, a failed SM idol trainee and a composer who gave songs to Le Sserafim and some others, wins a Grammy before BTS, it will be a big spectacle. Hardly anyone paid attention when JK was released. His ship having sailed past. At least IU had one final run of popularity with her drama, something Taehyung didn't miss when he went to dine with her before his release- JK will not have such chance to have one final hurrah.
All these 'Longer Career" theory has turned into dust. it is futile to have a longer career when one does not control the narrative. Nobody says anything about Cold Play having the largest tour of this year - they are has been acts , and the scandal which occurred in one of its concerts got way much more attention.
BTS will have a 'longer career' as has-beens, although it is mpre likely that after next year's last dance they will mostly split to pursue their own interests, only assembling once in blue moons.
BTS, and Jungkook, will NEVER dominate the world again. Times have changed and they got much older and newer faces arrived. Jungkook lost the super bowl chance which might return when he is 50 or so.
All because Bang wanted to hobnob with Korea's moguls, while BTS was mocked by New Jeans and MHI, and now Huntr/x and Saja Boys. Was it worth the cost?
