Will Idle ever unflop?

For that, they should be a flop first, because they're not a flop yet.

i mean they had a hit song about an antiquated word for a car horn just last year. Anything is possible.

Everything after queencard music wise was getting downhill.
I didn’t like Super Lady, Wife, Klaxon prior to good thing.

Oh if only you knew.

They will be fine and the group has a strong fan base. They were able to move 1million units and they will still continue to do well in that regard. I think they need to announce a tour soon though, and hopefully their japanese album performs well.

Soyeon's hair and Shuhua's body had nothing to do with the song not charting! Also, I don't think you should comment on an idol's body like that.

Soyeon still has the ability to write massive hits for the GP. My Name is Malgeum for Q-dub reached number 2, and is still in the top 50 to this day (almost a year later).
There is a possibility that she is stretched too thin, like butter scraped over too much bread, as she is producing for Idle, BDC and doing other gigs here and there. So letting another producer take the load might not be a bad thing to shake things up. I also think they should get a native English speaker to start helping with their English lyrics, as I think they hold back some international listeners (me included - Queencard goes from Bop to Blop for me due to the cringey english lyrics).
Lastly, in my opinion, Idle has super strong branding and a specific appeal, but the genre of their recent a-side songs feel like they are all pop-rock at their core. Idle used to branch out a lot more with their genres, so maybe they should take a look at artists with similar appeal (for example Billie Eilish) and see what they are doing differently musically that could be incorporated into their sound.

They had an English album with Heat but it had mixed reviews among fans. That was the only project where none of them produced or wrote lyrics for it. People thought it wasn't their identity and I don't think received much fanfare. The title track I do had much lower listens and views compared to their MVs. I thought song was solid, but it wasn't really and Idle song tbh.
I think they usually experiment with most of their tracks, but these 2 tracks weren't it for the general public. I felt like they were going for a 2000s electric pop sound with their song, but they didn't fully embrace and went half-measure with it. I think they had to fully embrace and add a bit more flavor to good thing.
I think they will bounce back because they're more than capable of creating hits. This was their first misfire in the eye of the public because all of their tracks received positive reactions.

That's a personal taste, and has nothing to do with being a hit song.
At least half the TOP100 would be in the bin if we categorize the most popular songs based on our personal taste.
For the record: I didn't like Super Lady or Wife that much, both was average, but I do like Klaxon and Good Thing.
Why on Earth I call it "Good Day" at first I don't know. It's all G-Dragon's fault.🤣

And how many groups can say that? Only the BIG4 groups. That's the 1% of Kpop, basically. The others can't even dream about achieving that.
People (not fans) will listen to the worst trash songs of all-time just because it's from a mainstream artist. I won't name anyone, but it's still true. If they hate the artists or Idols (group or soloists) they will still check out the music so they can trash it later.
