The opportunity cost of Jungkook by enlisting is north of $1 billion.
No bullshit like OT7 , longer career, etc, will be relevant since he lost his peak years.
BTS returns in Spring 2026, and there are four more members who will want to release their albums and do solo concerts before Jungkook, and Bang will do nothing to stop them.
Jungkook did NOT have to enlist - he could have extended that till 2028, and he would have gotten the exemption by then since the old regime which dragged them to the military is no more.
In my opinion, Bang should prohibit the other 4 from doing their solo projects , especially Suga and RM, and do a Jungkook project first since he is not getting any younger.
However, given the way he is, he will do nothing and let the older 4 have their fun, and Jungkook won't be given a chance to release a solo album, since it is quite too cold to tour in Dec or Jan.
Any solo tour who has less than 520,000 attendees, the record set by BTS' archenemy, is a failure.
Despite of having a billboard #1 song and an internationally known song, Bruno Mars is estimated to have earned a whooping 60 million last year. It is a lot for ordinary mortals, but chump change at that kind of level.
JK would have made more than $1 billion, and greater fame, if he did not enlist. Now, will people swoon for his old and tired body? I seriously doubt it.
He will be lucky to earn $50m/year for the rest of his life. It is a lot of money for most people, but a fraction of his potentials which never will be restored.
BTS' archenemy is still richer than any BTS member. And at the age of 32 (1,352) years she is showing signs of decline.
The tours of Seokjin and Hoseok were stand-ins for diehard BTS fans, a flash. They won't enjoy such successes again. But bang will think other members deserve that kind of opportunity. At least Suga , whose verses were decisive for dragging them to the military, and RM, who should have advised Jungkook to delay enlistment as much as possible since things could change but did not, should not be given solo opportunities before Jungkook. If Bang does not do that, I think JK will leave at renewal.
