It seems more and more likely that Supernova is going to be the last major KPop song

  • (APT. by Roseanne Park and Bruno Mars, is not a Kpop song since no Korean is involved with it.)

Melon is now occupied by such songs

    1. To Reach You by 10cm (Kwon Jung-yeol). Theme song for the 2011 anime Kimi ni Kodoke. If that song sounds Japanese that is correct since the music is directly from Tanizawa Tomofumi, who composed and sang the original Japanese theme song.

    2. Downing by Woodz, an Edam artist. Enough said. Woodz was ignored by the former owner of Edam Entertainment, but she will have to invite him to Palette, and probably sing a song together, or drive him out since he has grown big enough to ignore the former owner of Edam Entertainment.

    3. Like Jennie. It was commendable that she rose that high.

    4. Don't you know by Zo Zazz. A cover of an older Davichi song, a product of Melon cheating since no one really knows, and cares about, who is Zo Zazz.

So, 1, 2 and 4 are occupied by people who have nothing to do with Kpop , and #1 is basically a Japanese song.

With no songs from Kpop acts doing too great, and the Greatest Detriment Against Kpop's Worldwide Expansion about to return to clean these people from the higher echelons of Melon, it seems Kpop is really bankrupt.

GDragon's outing after many years of absence did not cause a stir in the world since he failed to enter Hot 100.

And even if the Senior Singer did not return, qwer, a group which will never be relevant outside of Korea and maybe Japan, was going to wreak havoc in Melon anyways.

It really seems Kpop has reached its end. Because it failed to destroy Melon.

The hits are no longer causing major stir around the world, and Illit is the last Kpop group to chart in Hot 100. (Katseye is not KPop.)

And the last major Kpop hit seems to be Supernova. Like it goes out with a bang, not a whimper.

its run for 100 days at Melon #1 was thwarted by Lee Youngji, a show host not well known outside of Korea. A fitting thing, maybe, since petty local interests hindering KPop's presence is the entire history of KPop's frustration.

Bibi, whose new song is not doing too great, gave KPop a respite of 15 months but the chance was squandered. Now, the entire Kpop world lies helpless against an imminent assault from the Senior Singer, who is set to outlive all of them.
