It's digital only and I think they went that route to test the waters. There's no way a group as big as them would release a digital single after gaining a lot of traction with sticky and igloo. I don't think they will be affected by the charts and as long as the song sounds good they should be fine.

For future releases I am unsure how well they will perform in sales but I think it will be business as usual. I do find it interesting that their social media engagement seems to have decreased. Their tweets are getting less likes and same with TikTok. I am curious if it will impact sales but I think they lowered their ceiling as a group because this will stay with the group because it's 3rd strike.

They are pretty much abandoned by intl k-pop stans and since this is not even their official comeback, I doubt anyone will care about it. Maybe they will check it out so they can make hate tweets?

In Korea, again since its not a comeback comeback and most likely won't be promoted, we are lucky if we are getting a MV it will go unnoticed.

You should have waited until June to make this thread. They are coming back then.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, Korea is their main market, and Koreans will not care. Most of their Korean fans probably don't even know there was a scandal.

It's been over a month since the incident, and according to data compiled by Kpop-Radar, they're still losing followers on Instagram and Twitter. In the chart below, note h‍ow both lines have been in negative territory since the start of April:

It's a digital only single and is one of those weird "fan appreciation" type singles that kpop groups do that never really do well or set the world on fire anyway.

I hope they have a proper comeback over the next few months - they need to cement themselves as the current generation’s Summer Queens.
