Ah, it's the norm. Look how much people have moved on from Dara's dating scandal. Slightly different, but people latch onto the next scandal then forget the pervious one.

To be fair while wrong she owned that shit.

We have to remember it's not always the same people that are outrage. There's most likely a good amount of people that are outraged by both incidents and aren't joking. There is a thing where some joke around with some things even though angry.

Also, we have to admit blackpink got off easy because Kiss of Life gave them a lifeline. I think it would be wise for them to own up to it and apologize. This will always come back and the lack of apology will also be brought up. Also, them working with black artist and producers and lack of apology isn't a good look imo. Jennie for example apologized for vaping indoors, but never apologized for this.

Interesting must be a location thing

As a Blackjack, I want to share my thoughts on Dara and CL and offer my perspective on the matter. First of all, I am not an American citizen, and English is not my first language. In my country, the education system hardly addresses the discrimination faced by Black people, and in our everyday lives, we don’t interact much with Black people. I mention this because, in terms of environment, we share similar characteristics with Asian countries. However, what I want to point out is that we live in a global era, and especially if we create or listen to music, ignorance cannot be an excuse. On the contrary, ignorance, in this context, justifies criticizing others ethically and morally. Defending an artist in such circumstances seems pointless and illogical. These people, whether it’s CL, Jennie, or the members of Kiss of Life, cannot use ignorance as an excuse. They are not ordinary Asians; they are musicians, and the music they create is directly influenced by certain groups. From my perspective, this is the most crucial and important point, and I view the issue through this lens.

Now, as a fan, I’d like to talk about CL. This is very personal to me because it’s connected to my view on music and art in general. For me, whether it’s 2NE1 or CL, I love them for their musical identities and performative artistry. CL, to me, is the embodiment of a soul, an energy, and an expression. I don’t idealize or love her because of her personality or private life (of course, I do love certain aspects of CL’s character, but I’m not so much of a "fan" that I would ignore any negative traits). There are idols who, despite me knowing very little about them, may feel off-putting, but I can say the opposite about CL.

As for Dara, I want to express my thoughts as a Blackjack too. What she said was, to put it mildly, ugly. And even though I’m a fan, I can say this. My connection to her is different from CL, Bom, and Minzy because it’s solely tied to 2NE1. Lastly, this is completely personal: Black people absolutely have the right to protest or expect an apology, and they are justified in doing so. I just wanted to share my thoughts about this situation as a CL fan and a Blackjack.

No one thinks what CL did was right. Ppl merely think CL is a better performer.

Two things can be true.

“They are all wrong” and “CL is a good performer” the two statements can both be right simultaneously.

And also there are multiple videos also praising Lisa’s leaked videos and how she’s an all rounder etc etc.

If anyone is “selective” it’s you here. Because you have no idea what the issue actually is and you probably never understood it in the first place.
