I loved this album so much at the time - it blew my mind with the range of amazing music. It still blows my mind because it holds up - there’s the classic snap of r&b pop of Call Me Baby (which was my most played song last year when I was looking for feel good music during a dark time), the deeper darker hip-hop swagger of Transformer, the slow seduction of Playboy, the quintessential slow jam What If, the epic rock opera like bombast of El Dorado and so much more, reminding you that whatever the genre, they could do it and do it well.
