I've started to notice some frequent words here and there both from music and kdramas as well

Took me some years to realise for example why its so easy for KPop groups to just drop a JPop song. Because even if the meaning of words might be different, there are a lot same or similiar words in both languages, which is also why its so easy for a lot Japanese KPop-idols to learn Korean. At first I found it just odd a bit how easy Japanese idols made it look to speak Korean and thought it will be difficult for Korean idols to learn Japanese lol.

Some similarities even if the meaning are different in both languages are for exmample words like San, Haru, Hana, Hajima/Hajime, ... and I realised this when I noticed in music how there are these words. Also funny was when I realised that Japanese words who begin with "nogo" sound like the Korean "Nugu" to me, same when Koreans have Naega/Niga and Japan has words who have niiga/niga/nega in them like "Onegai" or "Nigata" wich makes it also sound a bit similiar in some way

There are so many things I only realised over so many years when listening to music in both languages

Watching kdramas for like 15 years or so have made be understand some words and meanings, but I can't say it really have changed how I think about songs that listen to 10-15 years ago. I mostly don't care much about what they acctually are singing about, but it's nice to recoginize some korean words here and there.

I wish I was not so lazy and could spend some time try to learn more Korean and Japanese (well not the writing) because spending many hours each year watching kdramas and jdramas would give an extra benefit of learning the language at the same time. But the SOV order of the languages is a bit hard for the brain to get used to for me.
