Is NJZ a 5th gen group?

I will not be acknowledging them as a 5th gen group for obvious reasons

also viviz is techically a new group/sub unit in my opinion. so they would belong to this gen more than the previous one. just like taeyeon is a 3rd gen soloit while snsd was a 2nd gen gg. yes she released some ballads beforehand but her official debut was during the 3rd gen.

personally i don't even think 5th gen could start before 2026 at least. but apparently ggs who debuted/redebuted in 2024 are 5th gen so...

This is determined by what is popular not what you want. NJZ is just new jeans with a new name. And maybe some nugu acts could rebrand and become a new generation but not NJZ/new jeans.

Everyone will continue to refer to them as 4th generation. They are in fact the pinnacle of 4th gen. They are profiting off and leveraging the popularity they already gained in the peak of 4th gen. So that’s where they’ll remain as they rightfully should.

Lol wait and see then, that's exaclty what's gonna happen because it's what makes the most sense . And that will make even more sense because they're not alone in this transition. Other groups like fifty fifty and bm also redebuted, so they're gonna be at the heart of this new wave and probably outdo themselves at some point. njz haven't peaked yet. but honestly? ssera, ive, nmixx, itzy are more has been or have peeked already. only solid pure 4th gen gg that is standing strong is aespa. and lol even they were half gone until their 2024 renaissance.

anyway, personally i think the line between 4th gen and 5th gen is too blurry. again, i don't even consider the ggs that debuted in 2024 or even 2025 5th gen. but duh.

in my opinion, these gen stuff is getting annoying because now agency's are using it as a media play BS. to me, the generation defining groups right now are NJZ, aespa and XG. Regardless if we're in 4thgen or 6th gen, lol.
