When performing on stage, most female idols who are wearing short clothing eg. Skirts, Shorts, Mini dresses. Will often wear ‘Safety Shorts’ underneath.

Safety shorts are a way of modesty and protection for female idols. Some male fans of idols, or sickos looking for a profit used to try and take photos or videos of the idols underwear whilst they were performing on stage, which would then most likely be used for ‘personal’ use. Therefor in order to prevent this from happening, most female idols will have the safety shorts.

It also makes the idols feel less uncomfortable, however unfortunate not all female idols have the luxury of concideret stylists.

Some example of idols who unfortunately didn't get the opportunity to have safety shorts.
