There’s no real rapping, they are just yelling loudly, and there’s nothing unique or interesting, EVERY group is doing the exact same thing now.

Newjeans is in a similar age range, and are actually doing somewhat appropriate music (if we exclude cookie)

I never got the hate towards newjeans, their music is genuinely good?? Like , the girls even if they aren’t some crazy Mariah Carey level singing, ALL pull their weight. There’s no corny “rap verses” or anything. It’s all natural, with music that will genuinely age well

Teens bragging about swag and "flexing" is exactly what I expect teenagers to do.

To some, it's worse to see 30-somethings and 40-somethings brag about being a baddie. People often grow out of that phase by then.

Maybe you don't see it that way, but when I was a teenager, my peers bragged exactly about that kinda stuff. It might be laughable if they did the same now as people in their late 20s.

Maybe you're just bored of girl crush, but that's a matter of preference. It doesn't mean girl crush is inherently bad.

I really don't understand this perspective that teenagers can't rap about being badass. If anything, that's exactly the age they should do it.

They shouldn't wait until they're an ahjussi or ahjumma rapping about these things. If anything, people would be laughing at older people doing that.
