They're not a Hip Hop oriented agency. Neither of them. When it comes to rap, HYBE and their agencies are the worst. BTS is the only exception, basically, because they did everything alone.

Honestly, I think if Hybe invests in teaching LSF rap--I think the girls would be very good at it. They can easily pull off the dance and look. Hybe just needs to invest in training and polishing up their rap.

Hybe does have the resources to make that work. They own some American hip hop companies. They could ask them for assistance to help them out. I am just unsure if Hybe wants to position them for that. I don't think we can expect them to pull off something like XG. If given time I think the girls can make it work. I thought the songs mentioned in the OP are good and I can easily see them perform a rap song well if given time

I didn't say they could never do a rap song, I'm talking about what I heard from them so far, and HYBE groups in general.

I never tought I will hear some of my faves doing rap, because they're just vocalist, yet they did a good job, some of them were great, like Wheein for example.

Babymonster's Rami is another example, when I first heard her trying to rap, I didn't think she could pull it off, yet she did it in that cringe CLIK CLAK or whatever it's name. 😂 But BM is under YG that mainly produce Hip Hop. My comment isn't really about Le Sserafim, so don't get too offended!

Learning to rap is much easier than learning to be better a vocalist.

HYBE need to invest in training in general, not just rap. Also, real rappers write their own parts, so for that they have to let the girls write their music. The funny thing is that Kazuha is their only rapper on paper, but she has the least amount of writing credit. Not sure about the rest, because most of their credits are for remixes. But at least they write and even compose songs if I can believe their Wiki page.

It was never about resource, it's 100% about the willingness, and HYBE is too lazy.

I don't follow any HYBE boy group, so I can't comment on that, but I have never seen any girl group that had a good rapper line!

The best example to measure their rapping skills is Pierrot, and it's not crap, but their flow is not good. Like I said, they only need time and training, but HYBE don't care, and let's be real, I get it, their fans don't care either. Most Kpop fans think being a rapper is about talking fast and acting cool. That's why no one takes Kpop (IDOL) rappers seriously.

I like Pierrot and Easy but I prefer when they release alternative pop songs like Fearless.

To be fair, HYBE is the only Big4 company with groups who don't rap at all or barely (Gfriend, Fromis_9, Newjeans when they were there, Illit, Katseye) and it's not a bad thing beause rap parts often sound cringe.

BTS have an outstanding rap line.

I agree, there's a topic about this here on AKP already. Not every group need a rapper.

BTS is different, because they are pretty much a self-produce team since day 1, I think. Just like MMM or Gidle.

Not sure about every HYBE group, but based on what I find, LSF has some writing and even composing credits under their names, so that's a bonus.
