TWICE leader Jihyo opened up about her 10th anniversary as a member of the group.
On the 4th, Jihyo appeared on Park Narae's YouTube channel "Naraesik" and talked about her time as a trainee while camping.
When Park Narae asked her, "What would you do if your boyfriend went to a guesthouse," Jihyo firmly replied, "All cheaters cheat anyway, so you can just throw them away."
Park Narae then asked, "If your boyfriend makes a mistake, you should be merciless," to which Jihyo replied, "It's a turn off. I think that people who cheat will cheat anyway, so I would want to break up before I get more attached. I'll be hurt, but what can I do, life is about living alone," she said, revealing her firm view on relationships.
After finishing preparing the ingredients, Jihyo shared her thoughts on the difficulties she faced during her seventh year of debut and her contract renewal season. "As it's my seventh year, I was worried thinking 'I should get a good reaction'," she said, after revealing that TWICE will be making a comeback on the sixth.
When asked by Park Narae if she had ever experienced burnout, she replied, "I did during the re-signing season. It's been seven years since I debuted, and I was so worried about what I should do in the future as the 'entertainer Park Jihyo', not 'TWICE's Jihyo'. We can't be idols for 20 to 30 years right.”
When asked about the hardest time in her life, she said, "It was when I was quarantined due to the coronavirus," which resonated with Park Narae. Jihyo added, "I felt like I was going to die at home. I did burpees by myself, wrote lyrics, and cleaned the house. I happened to catch it during the first week of the music broadcast. The kids kept on practicing while watching their fancams."
She also openly shared the burdens she feels as a leader. Jihyo admitted, "When we were first discussing contract renewals, I thought I would say, 'I don’t want to be the leader anymore.'" However, she explained why she decided to continue in the role: "It's just my personality. I believe there has to be someone to play the bad guy and to say the hard truths when needed."
At the same time, she humorously added, "I used to think being a leader wasn't such a big deal, but now I feel like it might take five years off my life."

Regarding why all TWICE members successfully renewed their contracts, she shared, "Most of the members wanted to continue from the start. We shared a lot of personal concerns with each other and also spoke with the company. But just because we're on the same team doesn't mean one person can take responsibility for another's life. Still, everyone had a strong attachment to the team.”"
When Park Narae mentioned Dahyun as a member she was curious about, Jihyo explained, "Dahyun is fun and lively on variety shows, but in reality, she's quite reserved and doesn't share her worries easily." On the other hand, she described Sana as someone with outstanding social skills, saying, "She can quickly become friends with the production crew," drawing laughter.
Regarding her relationship with Jeongyeon, Jihyo said, "We've known each other the longest, and since we're the same age, we get along well. We've even fought to the point where we were almost throwing punches at each other," emphasizing their close friendship.
