In a recent article posted by AKP, titled, "ADOR responds to NewJeans' ultimatum D-day: 'Belift Lab, show a sincere attitude,'" many people in the comment section have vocalized their criticism of a specific event that "outlines an overlying anti-NewJeans sentiment at HYBE."
Some think that the "Ignore It" controversy was blown out of proportion:
- "It is still incredulous that NewJeans has milked one perceived incident of disregard, so far as to frame it as workplace bullying and mistreatment. Good thing such chicanery has been thrown out, and now they have no ultimatum to wilfully break their contract for free."
- "Yes, timing is key. Also let’s not forget on of the other members was going around the Hybe building putting up aespa stickers all over the walls. Clearly, she thinks having the top floor and privileges allows her to run a mock in her own house. Shows that they never thought they were a Hybe label. Not a good reflection of their characters."
"Just skip all this mediaplay nonsense and go straight to court. As for the b**** and whiners complaining about the 5 girls being ignored, there have been a lot of remarks by senior idols that their juniors don't greet them properly. Do you think they have a case to sue these junior groups for bullying and harassment? Sounds pretty stupid now, doesn't it. Like I said, go straight to court, have the law put these entitled girls in their place - the dungeon. The MHJ cult**** will no doubt continue barking pointlessly."
While others vocalize support for NewJeans and are calling for the manager responsible for it being held accountable:
- "One incident? It outlines an overlying anti-NewJeans sentiment at HYBE which is the issue. The fact that BeLift had to make a statement that said “And ILLIT members never passed by NewJeans without greeting them” when no such accusation was made in order to victimize the ILLIT members tells you how calculated and malicious they are. A truly biased statement would’ve been to say they have talked with the manager and even though she denies it they will make sure everyone at HYBE will be treated with respect instead of taking an aggressive stance against NewJeans by BeLift executives, who werent even there, blindly calling Hanni a liar and demanding an apology."
- "But as usual people who don’t even bother to look up what’s really happening are taking that one issue and running with it saying that newjeans are over reacting which is happening in this very comment section and every other one about the group and making it seem like they have no reason to be doing this other than mhj and being ignored."
What do you think? Is this controversy merely an overreaction or does it truly outline the anti-NewJeans rhetoric that many HYBE employees possess?
