nobody is beating BTS when it comes to transmedia storytelling and I say that shit confidently.
It all started with a tweet :
Jin holding 'never seen before' flower
Then, here comes a random online flower shop blog for this never seen before flowershop owner...the owner's name is Italian for 'Yourself'.
He describes how it was discovered with a screenshot of an Instagram post from June 12, 2013 (BTS’s debut date). The Instagram username is “amare_0” and is supposedly a traveler who found the flowers growing in northern Italy (“amare” means “love” in Italian, so if we combine this username with the florist’s name, we get “love yourself”).
Then the flower shop owner says he is going to open shop on BTS' comeback date
This was when ARMY discovered the link between the flower shop owner and BTS' comeback as well as the name of their new Trilogy all before it was announced by Big Hit
Then here comes the Highlight Reels :
The flower, the shop, and the tragedy of the girl dying before Jin could reach her is all there + it provides insight to their alternate universe and his ability.
The flower shop owner also gave perspective about the entire theme for LOVE YOURSELF TEAR (love yourself before you tear yourself) with a story about a disfigured man being unable to confront the girl he likes before she passes away. A story about how not loving oneself stops one from finding love.
BTS later release The Truth Untold about the man's story in consecutive album LOVE YOURSELF TEAR
It was all soo MIND BLOWING how the fandom predicted when everything would be released with just stories from a flower blog.
Bighit did not release ANY comeback schedule like other kpop companies usually do
