Did you just found the goldilocks zone of smaller byte sized gifs?
So yea the last few events, we have kinda figured out the range of frames, that we can fit in a badge without making the quality lower. 
It has been a process as we had adjustments at the beginning of the year to the size we could upload for gif badges making it a bit less space
