  • Since last year they've been taking advantage of their popularity in Europe. Finally. They have such a big fandom there that was being ignored for years.

Now we want album distribution on UK with special versions without gifts to count on UK Charts...

One of the things that stand out with SKZ and their popularity, is their reach here in Europe. It's hard for kpop acts to get such a big fandom in European countries, and SKZ have such rare popularity here despite not doing much for it. They haven't even toured here.. at all. I was kinda shocked Maniac tour excluded Europe, especially considering much much less popular groups tour in at least some countries here.

So yes I hope they continue to take advantage of their European popularity, also so that they can grow more and reach their potential. I'm curious how big they can get if JYP actually really goes for it.

Do other kpop group have UK special versions that you know of?

The only time they promoted in Europe before last year was when they did their showcase tour in very small venues in 2019. I was almost sure they'd extend Maniac Tour to there, but the continent was completely ignored. Actually, most K-pop agencies has been ignoring some of their biggest music markets in the world within Europe, It's like US is the only place they are able to expand outside Asia.

On top of my head, I remember of BLACKPINK with 'The Album' and 'BORN PINK' reaching #2 and #1 on UK Charts respectively and ATEEZ's last two albums reaching #2 and #4. SKZ could totally reach #1 with said distribution to respect UK Charts' rules, they already chart with streaming and digital only.

Interesting, let's hope they Stray Kids will also get this!

I'm very curious as to how big the scale of the European leg of the tour will be.

I already created some scenarios for dominate's european leg

    1. They will go full arenas in multiple cities and then maybe come back months later for a stadium encore (similar to Blackpink)

    2. They will do a mix of arenas and stadiums. Maybe one in France and/or UK and arenas in the rest of the dates.

    3. They will go full stadiums, but having selective few dates, forcing the fans to travel to specific countries they will perform.

    What is the best?

    :pepe-narrow-eyes:

  • Hmm, I'd say 2 is best.. A nice mix of both right away. :pepe-narrow-eyes:

Personally I'll try to go to arena if this is ends up being what they do. Not just because it'd most likely be more convenient considering travelling, but also I prefer it to not be so huge

Changed the title of the thread from “Stray Kids is set to appear on the cover of the Rolling Stone UK magazine, to be released on October 4” to “Stray Kids is the first and only asian personality in history to be on the cover of Rolling Stone UK: "On the road with the Powerhouse of K-pop"”.
