  • The vocal melody and hook could be catchier. Their instrumental foundations are just okay..could use a few tweaks to make those melodies more sticky as well.

  • It's good, but I think recently RQ has had an issue with their mixing or something. They aren't emphasising Jayoungs vocals enough, and shes sounding like shes getting drowned out by the instrumental. Jayoung has a strong voice that really should be emphasised and in their live shows and online concerts she definitely is. But this and Stand Up (and Fearless to a lesser degree), it's like they aren't "turning up" her stream properly or something.

But I'm seeing them live again in less than three months!!!!!

Could this be due to the equipment that you're using to listen to the song? I haven't noticed any issues with Jayoung's vocals, but I have the output from my computer hooked up to a proper amplifier and speakers, so it's probably a more "serious" audio setup than most people's.

  • I actually hear the problem worse on the Youtube MV's

The spotify versions are a bit better

Ah, so that makes me wonder: is Rolling Quartz's staff uploading a different audio mix to YouTube, or is YouTube performing some sort of re-encoding or processing that adversely affects the sound quality?
