Or at least, I have sometimes read comments to Facebook and Instagram posts.
Like people judging on people based on their hobbies, the books they like etc...
And I remember also seeing a post on Facebook, where someone posted a photo from a bookstore where there was a bookshelf called "TikTok Books" and reacting negatively to that. (Well, in my opinion, people can read whatever they want, also the stuff that are popular on TikTok)
And then some people being discriminating.
I have seen some homophobic, transphobic, racist, misogynist stuff...
There is someone on Instagram that I sometimes watch videos by.
I often witness her posts getting racist comments and some using ethnic slurs.
On Facebook it is kinda strange for me to see some people write discriminating stuff with their account with their real full name in it, and sometimes you can see where that person works.
Sometimes I expect people to "hide under a mask" whenever they write that kind of stuff.
Even though I know that people are often braver typing that kind of stuff online rather than saying that face to face with that person.
I guess it can be compared to when people talk trash about someone behind their back rather than saying it in front of them.
It might be better for me, if I sometimes don't read comments to some social media posts. Might also be a better idea to be less on social media.
Even though on Instagram, if I'm on my computer, hate comments are harder to ignore. Because of course, if I click on a picture, then I also see comments right away.
And yes, I do know that there are judgmental people offline too.
Like I have heard some family members say some judgmental stuff.
