My theory is the BG audience overlaps with khiphop. BGs are doing well when khiphop acts are not showing up much on the charts these days. During the pandemic, khiphop was all over Melon, now the chart is filled with idol songs, ballads and "old" releases. I guess it reflects the mood due to economic downturn in the domestic market.

Plot Twist done so well, especially for a boy group song.
