Next Level dealt the mortal blow to second and third gen, it went toe to toe with both Celebrity and Butter and outimpacted them. Ive, Idle, NJ, and LSRFM just finished the job.
We could be witnessing the Great Turning right now, with NJ and Ive both underperforming. Ironically enough, it could be Aespa, who ushered in 4th gen's rise to dominance with Next Level, giving us the exact opposite this time...they could be signalling 4th gen's "curtain call", this generation's last national hit with Supernova. The final blowoff top, in stock market terms.
Aespa bookending the 4th gen era is quite poetic tbh with their song titles. Next Level implies 4th gen rising to the top. Supernova/Armageddon implies a final climactic war which ends with massive destruction and death, which is what could be happening to 4th gen now.
Besides the overbloated physicals of 3rd gen BGs, they’re not exactly competing with 4th gen GGs, aren’t they? These BGs are the one that’s over lmfao. BP and maybe RV can comeback and make hits off of it. I dont see Stray Kids, Seventeen, etc charting digital at all except BTS when they do come back.
