We are ignoring the top two rules of eurovision, 1 everything must be sung live and 2, limited amount of people on stage.
Few groups can sing 100% live without any back track or backing singers and alot of groups have more than 6 members. Even if they grab some popular vote points, the judge scoring could cripple them.
you really thought you did something.
since 2021 (covid era) back track is allowed. a lots of fans are complaining about it and want only live vocals back because a lot of artists have been abusing it. but that's not happening, back track is here to stay. so if you are worried about 100% live singing, fear no more, back track is there to help.

I mean I think op is just joking around but ESC is HUGE in many European countries, thus the exposure for artists to new people is massive
Also I would highkey enjoy it so there’s another reason
eurovision fans wouldn't like it tho :) when timberlake and madonna performed everyone was like, "meh. now, sing your songs and leave". but when eurovision icons perform everyone goes crazy. hearing this year eleni, chanel, helena and sertab was amazing! did you hear the audience? i want eurovision artists on eurovision, you can watch bts or any other artist someplace else.

Omg I haven’t watched esc at all this year I’m super busy and it’s so many different broadcasting
I LOVE Sertab tho, she’s amazing!
I was joking around since obv bts are highly unlikely at esc (wrong continent, super busy, too high status). But I think esc crowd like things that are unusual and visually dramatically. Madonna and Jb are too “polished” me thinks
Yes there would be the usual racist comments (sadly Loreen always gets a brunt of this despite WINNING for Sweden several times) but I actually think it many would like it too

i disagree with this. loreen has always been loved and everyone were listing euphoria as one of the best songs and deserving winners. people got pissed kaarija didn't win because he won the televote and she didn't have a single 12 points from televote. i'm still pissed and will never move on lol. he performed yesterday too! he was great and i got reminded again why i was pissed lol. but life isn't fair
watch eleni, chanel, eric sade, and helan, sertab and charlotte on youtube, you can find their performances on youtube!

Yes and No.
she’s very popular in Europe and esc communities. What I meant was related to Swedens strong extreme right winged movement. Which is partly affecting some part of the population. The second biggest political party by election in Sweden has actual neo-nazis in it.
Both times when Loreen won there were the discussion “but she’s not really Swedish “ bla bla bla

if it's determined by fan vote: yes. Otherwise, likely not.

Yeah but no kpop style backing is allowed. Pulled this directly from the rule book.
'No on-stage Contestant (whether Lead Vocals, Lead Dubs or Backing Vocals or dancers) shall be allowed to lip-sync (playback) in such a way as to make it appear that they are singing all or most of the song when they actually are not....
The accompanying Backing track may optionally contain Backing Vocals. However, the Backing track in question shall not contain (i) Lead Vocals, (ii) Lead Dubs and/or (iii) any other vocals that would have the effect of, or aim at, replacing or unduly assisting the Lead Vocal(s) during the live performance on stage.'
Which means backing loud enough to surpass the live singing or that does the high or difficult notes for them is still banned.

kpop style backtrack definitely isn't allowed because that's not live. but eurovision backtrack can work very well. you put vocally challenging parts in backtrack and lead singer sings with bellow average vocals, hint: serhat - san marino 2019 (this was before the backtrack tho but the point still stands). or like equinox - bulgaria 2018 you hide your flawless back vocal behind the stage and the singer on stage lip sync. or like uk 2024 you make backtrack loud enough. it's easily solvable.
