In olden times it was said that Tzuyus could change the course of history with their words.
One particular scholar read in an old dusty manuscript that the word "slay" is actually an ancient Chinese battle cry. Predating English by thousands of years!
It was said that the first use dates back to stories of an ancient battle between Ancient China and Barbarian invaders. 500 Chinese soldiers faced certain death at the hands of 10,000 barbarians.
At the moment of certain doom, an angel Tzuyu appeared on the battlefield and encouraged the soldiers spirits. Telling them they would slay!
And lo and behold the soldiers won a great victory over their horde, a miracle that saved all of China.
All because an angel told them they could do it. That they could "slay!"
Such is the power of a Tzuyu.
In modern times the word has been come to be known for words of encouragement and support rather than just killing and bloodshed.
But it still holds magical power.
All because of an Angel Tzuyu. Who invented English and changed history.
They don't teach you that in class. And people have forgotten. But its in the old books!
At least, that's what a Taiwanese grandmother told me.
