there was this one scene in the recent episode of i live alone. twice jihyo was in it and she was snowboarding. she was talking to a group of young people who were on the slopes as well and not until she asked them if they knew who twice was did the group go like "oh, yeah yeah, right... twice". just got me thinkin'. if this were TT days or something, it would probably be a completely different conversation
when do you think 3rd gen groups will start getting referred to as legacy groups? did 4th gen go too hard and accelerated that process? is it already happening? man, time flies so fast

I mean yall the 3rd gen HAS been out for like almost 10 years. When it was 2017 i def considered SNSD a “legacy” group

3rd gen started in 2011 for girl groups tbh (Brave Girls, Apink) so it's actually been about 13 years.
As for OP, look at the following breakdown and evaluate accordingly:
2011-2017 is 3rd gen.
2018-2024 is 4th gen.
2025 will be 5th gen.
I think someone else said 5th gen starting is when 3rd gen becomes legacy, and that could very well be true. Twice's 3 year contract ends in 2025, BP is a group in name only and RV might join them, Seventeen might start military service in 2025 with some members turning 30 then plus BTS coming back to take up the slack for Hybe.
