This reminds me of when I said that BP had the potential to be independent but some blinks didn't believe that the BP girls could make their own label(s) and manage their careers. It turns out they were already thinking about doing it.

When 2ne1 said that they learnt that they were fired while watching TV, Gummy said she left because YG doesn't release music often and then there is Big Bang especially GD who used to lie about being in charge yet he also chose to leave, it says so much about how the idols under YG are managed.

Yeah. I think there has never been a group where the solo fandoms are this strong compared to the main group fandom.

Now that they are only signed as a group, I expect YG will do everything they can to make BM a success. If they become hugely popular, I don't expect they will do much for BP anymore as they have no control/income from their individual careers. In a way, BP are now rivals of their still completely controlled new GG.

If BM doesn't do that well, I expect they will still do more BP activity for money, keeping investors happy etc.

It doesn't to be one or another. They can promote both equally like other labels do but YG just don't because they don't.

If YG gives BP another album and concert, they'll earn a lot from that.
