Objective and Outline
The objective of the Mafia is to "kill off" all of the civilians until there is only one or less left, or for the civilians to figure out the player who is Mafia. When one of those two things happens, the game is over, and the winner gains a victory point!
During the game, there is "night" and "day"--in the day, there will be a discussion period, and during the night players with roles besides civilian may execute their skills upon another player.
If you appear to not be present for 5-10 minutes, you will be considered killed and lose your spot in the game until another round is started.
How to play - The Mafia
- I (the Narrator) will DM you your role: Mafia
- You must pretend to be a civilian and effectively lie about your role during discussion times.
- When night falls and the Mafia awakens, I will DM you to ask which other player you would like to kill.
How to play - The Civilians
- I (the Narrator) will DM you your role: Civilian
- You will be attempting to figure out who is the Mafia through discussion during the "daytime".
- You can complete the adjective above by talking with other players in the thread and accusing at the end of discussion.
How to play - The Doctor
- I (the Narrator) will DM you your role: Doctor
- You must be extra careful about keeping your role secret, as the Mafia will likely want to target you.
- When night falls, I will DM you to ask which other player you would like to save.
- If you save the right player, instead of being killed, they continue to be in the game
- You cannot save yourself.
How to play - The Detective
- I (the Narrator) will DM you your role: Detective
- You must be extra careful about keeping your role a secret, as the Mafia will likely want to target you.
- When night falls, I will DM you to ask which player you think is the Mafia.
- During discussion, you may try your best to persuade the group on who you are confident is the Mafia to be able to kill them more effectively.
What are Victory Points?
You get a Victory Point each time you win a Mafia game. Your Victory Points will be tallied at the end of the week, and whoever has the most will win a free LE badge!
When to play
December 13th at 10:00 AM (delayed) and 10:00 PM EST
December 16th at 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM EST
