  • Why did you make a thread on this bullshit video?

I'm not saying I'm positive with these all "global" group but, the discussion ground of the video is invalid for most parts.

A2K idea came from Republic side, not JYP itself. No idea on Dream Academy.

These projects could take off, were agreed by those American labels, was because, these days, only K-pop could successfully make girl groups. Why should not JYP or HYBE follow the only working formula K-pop? Simon Cowell is aware that his way can make a popular group no more.

Apparently, Vcha has not officially debuted. They surely will get some American media exposure once they do as Republic is a key partner of this.

Vcha seemingly gears toward pre-teen to teenage audiences. Members being so young makes perfect sense while elder 20 years+ members doesn't. Dream Academy possibly eyes for the same demographic.

The mention on NCT Hollywood is completely clueless as S.M has clearly canceled this project.

Real discussions are topics like the marketability of teenage oriented groups and the parasocial culture. What is the spending power of teenagers? Does the style of Vcha resonate with American teenagers? How may they advertise the group to teenagers? How may they promote the group under the lack of proper music shows? Can the parasocial relationship be enacted in the west? Will the west embrace the like of fansign, hi-touch and, if not, what will be their substitute income source? Blah blah blah.
