    -> best B-sides: Get Up, Hurt

    I'm in too deep to know exactly what the big fandom jokes are, but because they switch between English and Korean so effortlessly, there is PLENTY of meme material

    you'll probably be able to hear some new songs because this set contains all their official releases

  • Thank you very much.

    I know Super Shy but apart from that I am really still learning.

    Didn't even know they were that good at English.

    And yes, please. I know very little about the individual members

  • Thank you!

    I will watch it this evening

  • Not sure why you’d want to jump right into their bsides when you haven’t even heard any of their title tracks yet lol especially since each song in nj’s entire discography has at least an accompanying mv on youtube so they don’t even have any bside in the traditional sense of the word :sweat:

    Anyway i think the best way to get into their music is to check it out chronologically, starting from attention and hype boy. Those 2 songs are the best introduction to a group you can get imo

    left to right: Haerin, Minji, Hyein, Hanni and Danielle

    HAERIN: introverted, spacey, mischievous, often compared to a cat. Korean

    MINJI: eldest, unofficial leader, caring and playful with her younger members. Korean

    HYEIN: youngest, silliest, very confident on stage, exuberant. Korean

    HANNI: meme queen, easily recognisable 'sweet' singing voice, unserious. Vietnamese but grew up in Australia

    DANIELLE: optimistic, bright, sassy with fellow Aussie Hanni but otherwise very doting, loud. Half-Korean, half-Australian, mainly grew up in Australia

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    there are no official positions, and each member has refined singing and dancing skills. From a dancer's perspective, they seem to have had a more old-school approach with groove, rhythm and have quite strong hip-hop foundations, especially HANNI and HAERIN
    their interactions seem to be very informal and despite the different ages are all cheeky and sweet with each other. If you're used to very chaotic group antics, then NewJeans tends to be more gentle and relaxed, but thoughtful
    Thank you.
    Because I didn't know that. I thought they had quite a lot of songs already but guess I was wrong.
    I will follow your advice and watch from the start.
    yeah, just a small note: hype boy was initially released on yt through this intro video - i recommend checking out the individual mvs in the order they put them before you dive into other stuff like its performance videos ;-)
