Is It Just Me, Or Does BTS TAEHYUNG Solo "Debut" Feel Lacking & Not As Hyped???

    btw this has nothing to do with him personally AT ALL, that's my baby.


    But more so to do with the company or whoever this time around is supposed to do his marketing and promotion.

    I know he worked with Min Heejin and stuff like that, but I don't fully know what % she had in everything involving his debut.


    Now his album is beautiful, and his 2 prerelease songs are good to me.


    But I don't know man, I just don't feel that super hyped up energy and "push" so to speak, like Jungkook had before AND after "Seven" got released.


    I know most ARMYs like BTS Pop songs more, which is why "Like Crazy" and "Seven" did really good.

    While Tae released more slower and laid back type songs.


    And it's crazy too, cuz people was saying that Taehyung was the last secret weapon in BTS to release music, and that he was gonna Top every chart.

    But looking at his 2 prerelease, they did very well of course, but they didn't do the numbers and charting like what was anticipated...especially if you compare it to "Seven" result.


    I know his album isn't out yet, and we don't know what's more to fully come with it.

    But I just feel like there's something 'missing'....like the energy and the media talking about and promoting his upcoming album, the building posters and advertisements for the songs everywhere...like the ENERGY you know?


    Anyway what are YOUR opinions?

    I think even Army underestimated how global JK was and considered Tae to be the most popular BTS member. But that’s probably because Tae is more present in social media and has attended many events internationally. Whereas JK has reserved his social media presence through weverse lives where he falls asleep in the middle of them lol.


    Plus JK’s release was an English pop song that was geared towards American audiences, not just Kpop fans. So it’s obvious the marketing scheme will be different.

    Why would he need teasers for pre-release tracks? The pre-releases *are* the teasers for his album. Slow Dancing is the main TT we’ll be focusing on and that’s coming out on September 8, so make sure you tune in.


    Also, why is it necessary to put up physical posters in cities (with no context or release dates, mind you) for everyone when JK didn’t have a lot of social media options to promote it on since he deleted his 52M follower IG page?

    OP always showing they aren't an Army by pitting members. No BTS member pre release has had massive promo, do you even follow BTS?


    Who even compares pre-release to a single unless they are illogical fools or have ill intent to cause drama?

    Doesnt matter.


    The promotion that was set up with the media, radio, Billboard ads and so on was effort put into his solo song debut, do the song can get out there and get listened to.


    And im not tryna compare, but its hard to go from such hard marketing and promotion from one member, and then when the next come out- its not as hyped or promoted so to speak.

    Why are you comparing a single to a pre release weirdo? Did SMf pt 2, a pre release, have promo? Compare like to like or your whole intent becomes obvious which is to use this thread to cause drama and pit members.


    Tae has pulled amazing streams with 2 songs with bare minimum notice. And this time the one in charge of his promo is not BH but Min hee Jin, so you should probably knock at her office door and ask her why is she not promoting a pre release like a single, since you work at Hybe.


    Seeing how you would rather make juvenile comments than answering my clear question about why you are comparing a pre release, which bTS members never promote,to a single, again keeps proving your intent.

    For Tae's song... it wasn't the usual roll-out that BTS does. They announced the song and then released the music video hours later so it was kind of confusing

    Min Hee Jin is in charge of Tae's entire album and rollout, so people blaming Big Hit for the marketing plan are just shooting at air. This is what she does with Newjeans too, is what Newjeans stans tell us, drop music videos with minimal notice and follow this kind of strategy. OP who wanted MHJ to take charge of BTS solos should not complain now.
