So right now only me and him and moved to this place that has 6 houses with a common yard. Other people will move in around sept.
He is a dude in his 50s.
He was normal quiet and almost non-existent for a while
Now all of a sudden he starts walking back and forth in the yard and randomly kicks the walls
idk how relevant it is but he is a heavy drinker and smoker
he drinks and smoke in the yard
this is a new country so idk how to handle this

But also we are alone in the complex so I'm scared to come home late in the dark

Is pepper spray or a taser legal in your country? If so, I'd try to always have those accessible if you must be out at night.
Otherwise, I'd try to make sure I'm around people if I'm out late.

Im away most of august for a business trip (from aug 3-22) so by the time I come back others have settled in so hopefully he wont feel so free to throw tantrums in the public yard

hmmm thres nothing to do adults are free to kick walls and drink and whatever none of those things are illegal just stay away ( like u said ur gonna be away for most of august, just make sure ur place is secure while ur away)

I mean yeah its not illegal but it doesnt scream Im the most stable person ever
Chances are other tenants are eventually going complain if he keeps up the strange behaviour once they've moved in.
I'd keep out of his way for now. And if things don't improve once the other tenants arrive, I'd explain the situation to the landlord and move out.
Privacy and letting in natural light. Install Blinds on the Windows. Can angle the louvers to block seeing inside and let light in.
Can adjust to see more of the outside and still have privacy.
