The posting Oricon is what confused me since it's an odd way to put it when you have 0 Japan releases, but realising now it actually does make sense as the other groups have Oricon releases in their years.

Yeah that makes sense. It counts Oricoj for other groups who have JP release. I believe this is the case of Twice in 2018
The point is, NJ is already the GG who sold more physical sales in a calendar year

I don't know what's more impressive, 3 of the top 5 being from last year or Twice being up there from 2018 when the physical market was DEAD
I'd say the Twice thing, physicals are reaching new heights but Twice is just insane.
That was the year they dropped 4 Korean CB's (WIL, DTNA, YOY and TBTIED), 3 Japanese CB's (Candy pop, wake me up, I want you back and BDZ) a Japanese showcase, a tour AND a arena tour in Japan. Once's were just permanently broke (as usual).
