Here's why I'm saying this. One of my lovely mutuals brought up an interesting point. BigHit's NGG will be the first GG since GLAM to grace their roster. We all remember what happened with GLAM right? And they will also be the first GG AFTER BTS' 2020 fame that brought BigHit to new heights. I remember the way TWT ARMY were all collectively disappointed when TXT was announced because they wanted to see a GG in this economy and after the GLAM fiasco debut. (me too boo boo) So my question to you, AKP ARMY, is do you see the likelihood of the new NGG becoming BTS' global counterpart in the future?

They have potential if they don't go the typical girl crush/targeting the west approach. I have feeling Bighit will do it but I'm hoping those teasers we saw for the auditions were indictive of what the girl group is going to be like. There's a market for cute girl groups now that everyone has gone girl crush and they should take that opportunity and fill it.

They have as much chances as any other group from any other company to reach BTS level - which is... almost none, to be honest.
Big Hit doesn't know the secret recipe for BTS-level of success, that would be a bit too easy, LOL. The only thing we can hope for is that they get more creative freedom than other GG, and that Big Hit support their career as much as possible.
From then, anything is possible

Not on BTS level for sure. But it'll be really interesting how BH will play their cards for this group given it'll still be under Source Music. So anticipating

I don’t think so but instead of a GG with a girl crush or cute concept, I would love it if BH NGG goes down BTS’ HYYH route with the concept of delinquent-like youth trying to make it in the world while dealing with life’s challenges. Add in a songwriting Soyeon-type member and I think they’d be stan-worthy for me.

I doubt they'll be on BTS' level but they could be Twice or Blackpink's successor. Especially, since Bighit probably has the best connections in the whole industry because of BTS.
Bighit needs to do something different, though. They have the opportunity to revive cute concepts with their girl group and be the trendsetters for that wave, so I hope they don't debut a girl crush group like everyone is doing.
I want them to be the company that debuts a 9 membered NGG.
