    Same thing, she's pretty but a lot of girls are as pretty her. 90% of celebs are as pretty as the average person. Same applies for K-pop. Only about 10% of idols/celebs you would look at and say, "wow, they really are out of this world pretty." This is a good thing because it make's the beauty standard a lot more accessible when you realize majority of celebs will look like your average person.


    I have 2 conspiracies for why celebs are marketing as being more attractive than the average person. Firstly I already mentioned capitalism. Secondly, so the 10% of celebs/idols who are out of this world pretty don't hog all the opportunities.

    Jennie was NEVER considered the "visual" member. It was always Jisoo. Her appeal instead is her charisma.

    But once Jennie become the most popular/trendy overall their fans were trying to push her into the visual category.

    her leans into political pr later on enhanced her image and popularity, at least for awhile, but her initial appeal first and foremost was the fact she’s a posh & pretty british girl appearing as a lead character in the biggest film franchise of the 2000s. without her visuals, she’d be no where near as popular even if she was twice as “witty” or “progressive”

    but her speech on heforshe movement was quite a big deal back in the day

    i remember reading all sorts of praise and backlash after her speech

    she's one of the few white women celebs who have spoken on white feminism and intersectional feminism so i always have a soft spot for her

    I feel like the 1-10 rating scale is not universal because clearly people consider it different things. Like to me, 6 to 8 would be considered average pretty, not 5. 5 to me is completely average, so Jennie would definitely not fall in that category imo.


    And idk, this might be an unpopular opinion, but Jennie would stand out to me amongst an average group of girls. She’s very pretty, both with and without makeup.

    I don't really get what OP is saying. The average person doesn't look as pretty as the average celebrity who works on TV or as an influencer. Better styling and taking good care of themselves like celebrities can enhance one's attractiveness but most will still not look as pretty as the celebrities known for their beauty. Not to mention most celebs undergo at least a bits of plastic surgery as they age, which I wouldn't advise to the average person considering the risk and cost.

    yeah i do know about some of her speeches. On the other hand, her egotistical insistence on ruining her character’s costume in beauty and the beast under the guise of misinformed feminism and blatantly wrong info soured her for me forever lol

    Having been to Taiwan: no actually it's not that common.

    And that is not an insult to Taiwan or the women living there.

    Most people look average in any country and Tzuyu is well above average.
