[BTS CONTENT] Do shippers just view Jungkook as the ultimate trophy to uplift the other person in their ship?

    I've been eager to ask this after the 80964th installment of the Jungkook ship wars. But I can't seem to wrap my head around why the hell has this one man been shipped with almost EVERY person he so much as looked their way??????? Even ships where he's never interacted with the other person EVER. I've also seen hetero ships of him with girls nine years younger than him... I am just baffled and it's past the point of #FREEJUNGKOOK because every day he goes on doing nothing and minding his business are the days he gets shipped even more. :pepe-life-support:

    It's because he is seen as an idol partner for people with biases

    For eg taekookers and jikookers with tae and jimin las bias project themselves as tae/jimin and ship them with their ideal partner, jungkook


    So if jungkook doesn't do a specific fanservice with taehyung/jimin, it feels like he is refusing do it with them, so it gets personal


    Not sure how lizkookers delusions work with zero interactions

    He seems to be an ideal type for many people.

    For example Dex from Singles Inferno is close to Jungkooks type, this dude also gets shipped with everything under the sun.

    I don’t know if I can explain it good enough.


    But, but guys his type give a masculine energy without being toxic, they look bad boyish while still being soft and approachable. Their look comes off as rebellious and quite mysterious. They appear reserved yet confident, which gives them a certain type of sexappeal without really trying.


    It makes you wanna know more about them and for others it makes them fantasize how they will be in a relationship. Hence shipping them with anyone they showed a little bit of affection too or people they wanna see them showing affection too.


    I don’t know if I was able to express it right. It’s something you see and just get. It’s hard to explain lol

    Thing is Jungkook is actually the softest and cutest boy, fans know this well. His bad boy image probably is perpetuated by tats and piercings. But tbh he was being shipped even before tats and piercings that he got only later in 2019-20, prior to that he had only one image and that was of a cute boy next door.


    Hi sex appeal only came to the fore in Lotte 2019 but what I am trying to say is that even before 2019, his ships existed when he was literally known for things like this only

    In the case of JK x BTS member shippers, most of them DO use him to uplift their real biases though.


    Hence why they’d get upset at him if he doesn’t respond to or interact with their bias the way they expected. Majority of their posts about him revolves around him being the perpetual cheerleader or adoring/obsessed Ken doll to their bias’ Barbie, especially if they come from Taekookers, Jikookers and Namkookers. They’re the same folks who will cry “NepoKook” and “BigHit/Hybe’s favourite son” when he gets any solo opportunities before their bias does.


    Some of them are outright self-proclaimed antis of his but would demand him to kiss or wish their bias a happy birthday. ;judgingpepe:

    I always thought shippers were just young teen females believing in some weird Fantasy of their own making but when I saw those pictures of the Taekookers who had launched that gathering last weekend I was like WHat the Holy Fuck. The age of these women and the deranged shit that were spewing.

    Had you cared about other groups you'd see each group has a member who is shipped with the same group members and lot of others in kpop even if there was an interaction, bare min interaction or no real interaction at all. I'm not trying to sound rude at all. It happens to a lot of idols in varying degree.


    Yes Jungkook gets shipped with a lot of people and that is the reflection on the type on fans he has, same applies to other idols as well. He has a lot of teenage fans who generally exhibit such behavior. And he also has a lot of fans from specific region who usually tend to show solo stan or shipping behaviors. ARMY arent just people who only follow BTS,a lot of Armies stan multiple groups even if they dont accept. Or there are fans of other groups who just like Jungkook and find him attractive to link him with their biases and thus they might like to pair their favs or get excited with the slightest interaction. He is an all rounder and hence gets paired with people who are generally good in singing, dancing, who look great or are closer to him in age. There can be million reasons as to why particularly him or the reason could just be he appeals to a lot of people, is literally in his prime years unlike other members, and is very attractive and talented hence might match a lot of people.


    Also the uplifting baises part is ridiculous. Does this mean even Jungkook gains something from being linked? It should be true bothways right? How do u quantify this?

    Pretty sure the one linking Jungkook to others will also see content related to Jungkook and also consume content of the other member so doesn't this mean both are gaining something if your statement is true at all.

    They do overlap. A chunk of shippers do happen to be solo stans too. Or I wouldn’t have found Taekookers and Jikookers easily throwing JK under the bus whenever he gets any individual spotlight or straight up trash talk about him while demanding he kisses the ground their bias walks on the next minute.
