Rolling Stone: BTS should’ve opened or closed the show (APPRECIATION THREAD)

Yes. No other act had more hype than BTS, most of the veiwers were army as well.

They’d never have put them first ‘though- they’d have shown up virtually everyone after them.

They'd never let them open the show or their ratings would have a steep decline right after. The way they kept pushing their performance towards the end...

Even all these articles are shading Grammys left and right over BTS treatment. But it's no big deal I guess. Can't fathom why Armys who have supported BTS through thick and thin were mad.

they deserve to be closing act not because of views but because they should be saved for last. but, we know that's not gonna happen.

Opening would've been best. Not necessarily first but still up there. Dynamite performance is high-energy and catchy, perfect to give the show a boost in terms of what's to come. Instead the first 2 performances were so boring I almost went to sleep, I ended up muting the tab and doing my thing, I couldn't stand watching.

Best option for Grammys would be 2 BTS performances but separated, Dynamite among the first, Black Swan among the last. That way you keep armys connected and you have 2 different cool performances.

i'm honestly so happy to see the positive reviews about their performance, especially since this was BTS' goal, after all - to show off their incredible performance skills.

It's also nice to see the support the media is giving them in all of this shit show.

I wish they opened because we don’t have to be tortured like that yesterday.. or at least give us a set list. But yeah an opening act is the best for me. And they should be given extra time for dance breaks

I’m happy that many are supporting the boys and impressed with their class act of losing and their charismatic performance.

BTS needs to put a stipulation in their contracts that they will perform in the first 1 hour of these award shows or they’re not performing at all.

lol this! I immediately tuned out after BTS performance and didn’t even think about who was the closing act. Just feeling relief that the torture of waiting was over
