[Woollim] It's not ok for a bg to perform sexy concepts unvoluntarily

  • I thought STELLAR would be the last of it but no. I'm shocked that DRIPPIN's situation is going under the radar a bit?

Woollim has lost the plot post-Chaewon: I'm aware DRIPPIN didn't do as well as Golden Child but they clearly shine in brighter concepts. Why force them to a sexy concept when all of the members are uncomfortable with it? Just because they are of age doesn't mean it is okay.

It's a violation of their rights as human beings. Sure sexier, darker concepts are the trend in 4th gen, especially internationally but I have lost respect for any fan who encourages this concept change knowing the boys are not happy with it. Fans sexualizing them when they have repeatedly spoken up about not wanting to wear revealing clothing does not make them fans. Alex wasn't even a full adult when this started.

I am a girl group fan to my core, but please support boy groups who are uncomfortable too. It sucks that Woolim is pushing this thinking it'll get them more sales (and it probably will with ifans). Not to mention they are crazy overworked.

  • Woolim is a shitty company, they have been ever since Infinite. Golden Child you hardly ever hear about let alone see a come back from. Their last Korean comeback was august 2022 and they did one little single for japan. I don't follow gg's but correct me if I'm wrong you hardly hear about Rocket Punch. I have never been into Drippin since debut they aren't my style...however...

I agree, if they are not comfortable doing something they shouldn't be forced. There's enough BG's out there doing that kind of concept, why go along with it when they can do something they enjoy and stand out as a group? Sure that age old saying "sex sells" is accurate, but if they are uncomfortable their performances and everything is going to reflect that. Having to go on some strict dieting and doing strenuous exercises to keep their body to the ideal standards is just gross.

I have never and will never like Woolim, they are up there with Top Media's bitch ass. Hopefully their fans and other fandoms will be loud enough to hope to get the companies attention on the matter, but years of watching shit, my mind says doubt it...they are going to do what they want and the boys are under contract, so gross.

  • Yup sex sells and money talks $$$ you have nothing to blame but thirsty kpop fans and their my oopas is my boyfriend and can't have a relationship attitude for this especially when the agencies see nothing but rich akgaes and saseangs plus the majority of general fans likely sexy concepts. Oppa should be lean or big muscles and abs. So this plus seeing the metrics that it sells as evey bg including BTS has done these concepts and saw sells plus an increase in fans hit the Moon plus all the requests for modeling deals just look what happened when Jimin and Jungkook showed some skin people went fuckin crazy like a rabbid dog frofing st the mouth like it just saw a juicy steak and had been starving for a week. Yes this is unfortunate sad and unethical that the agency is making them do this BUT this is a business after all and their bottom line as a business is MONEY 🤑💰$$ and these guys signed a contract ( obviously didn't read the fine print) so yes they will have to do these concepts as they are contractually obligated to do. The only way they could nullify the contract is if it asked them to do something unreasonable. Showing some abs etc isn't unreasonable, unreasonable would be being asked to perform sexual acts or expose their privates or be exposed to others etc ya know real sa and harassment type stuff. Wearing a crop top or having to go shirtless on stage does NOT qualify regardless of their personal feelings on the matter. Sux but I don't make the rules or the law, before any comments this is pretty much the rule everywhere in any nation's entertainment industry UNLESS you are a minor if not all bets are off

  • Nasty. I hate to see idols using reveling outfits when they don't like it and worse that they're pressuring the guys to change their bodies just to look good in sexy outfits.
