Define what 'good song' means first because taste is simply subjective. If it's not an artist that you like in the first place, then why complain about what fans think? I don't see pre-releases as the strongest song in the album and neither do kpop companies, that's mostly an introduction to the album or as it is used today, as a marketing tool to create hype before the official release.

Just like calling a bad song "Experimental"

Personally I see it as another way to pointlessly throw hate at someone. It's not that deep, it's a song, you either like it or not. It makes sense to me why a pre-release song might not be as strong as the title but it's not always the case.

Most who complain about these things are always non fans who don't like the group/artist in the first place and think the world revolves around them and their taste in music.
