One of them KIND OF sounds like Sungchan, but other than that... no.

I understand why you would think that, I can hear the influence but NCT's rap and choruses usually go much harder, and the contrast between different song parts (pre-chorus to chorus, chorus to bridge etc) are more pronounced.

I could also hear (and see) the NCT influence in their My Turn song.

Naw, it doesn’t. NCT is always rooted in very strong and powerful vocal underpinnings, which isn’t happening here. Additionally there are usually rapid tempo and musical changes to better contrast the vocals against any industrial effects. And I think a hallmark of NCT’s style if they are working in this lane is to really make the song sound unexpected and go in places you don’t expect it to (I think for example of the rapid swings in Punch from the electronic sounds in the intro to the huff and puff whisper verses to the gorgeous and elegant prechorus to the anthemic hook.) This is pretty flat and consistent. I agree with quark’s comment that it’s more like early Monsta X but without the power of Kihuyn.

I wanted to like it so bad. I’m a closet Cravity fan and always check out their albums. I saw that they were making a music video for this track and i thought “but i didn’t add it to my library”, so i went back to listen and figure out why.

That chorus kills the song for me. Everything is going so well and then the beat just get worse and it’s some weird talking chorus. Truly a let down especially when the pre-chorus is so vocally pleasing. Such a miss by Starship and they might have ruined a great song.
