Internet scams

Around 2016 some random account befriended me on Facebook. At that time I added people just based on if we have the same interests so I barly cared if people used their real names or fake names since most people changed their names to something random Japanese or Korean and 90% of their posts on Facebook were just them fanboying or fangirling over Asian music.

After some time I figured one of the accounts who had added me DMed me saying quit some belivable stuff at first, till the account became hella sus and the guy tried was acting up. I was a bit confused and than looked at the openly written posts he droped onto his account.

The guy pretended to be V from BTS but in a way that it was not clear to see that it was ment to ne a roleplay account and he seemed to be so convincing that hundrets of people were liking and commenting whenever he posted something. I figured that some people were too delusional with that they wrote on his account so I begun to openly tell people that this was a roleplay account and that I was quit sure that the real V wouldn't be on Facebook openly talking to fans like that plus "why would he be online when it's literally midnight in Korea?" but people didn't realised that he faked his posts to make it look like as if V was it even tho it wasn't him at all. People even accussed me of saying lies about him just cause they thought I was just jealous of the attention he got on Facebook (what the fuck bruh).

It took him 3 months to stop writting after I first started to tell people that his account was actually fake. However his last message was "I need to explain something blah blah, I'm actually not Kim Taehyun, blah blah, I am actually a 16 year old boy from America,.... and so on and on " but however people didn't seemed to realise it and comented shit like "You're not a teenager from America! You are V! We saw what you shared and it is real stuff so..." they fucking didn't realised he was just posting the same stuff on Facebook but in English what was allready posted by V on Instagram/Twitter before ...

He told people to stop thinking his account would be real but people fucking didn't cared and said they do not belive that his account would be fake

It went on for so long till a girl came up who said this user scamed her for 20$ in an DM and all of a suddon people later on opend up how they all "somehow" fell for the fake V and how he scamed like enough people to get over 2K $

- Luckly I didn't fell for his scam, especially not cause the dude allready made clear when I first found out how fake he was, that he was only asking people for his help who would've a bank account in the US, but there were many non-US people later on who said he tried to scam them too but couldn't get their money cause they also were not from America

Wow those have impressive persistence. Most I get is Phishing emails.

In 2020 My PayPal and FaceBook got hacked.

It was around 8:15 I think in the morning when I noticed someone trying to set up ads with my accounts, however I had to call the bank to tell them to cancel my credit card. (Keep in mind I was just entering my 20's ish at the time and was so scared)

Now, although I still have those accounts I can't close my PayPal or use it.

My 2 of my Aunties Instagram account got hacked this week and my Mum's TIK TOK got hacked to smh

I also think it has something to do with my google account being hacked in 2017. Unfortunately I still don't have access to it, but it had a lot of original stories I've written in the account. Still mad at myself for trusting the scammer about that, I'm still confused about how he even got access

Tbh I watch a lot of kitboga and scammer payback on Youtube sometimes and its good to know that it doesn't just happen to me

I hired transport companies to ship stuff. Do have communication with their Office and delivery people. Relativity small administrative officers. Whorehouse workers and Drivers are a majority of the employees.

Metro Ways Courier looks very legit. It does not look like it Operates Freighters and Crews. Her claims a very suspicious.

Every once in a while someone would want to steal my whatsapp as I would get notified that someone is trying to login from a different phone and then receive some confirmation code.

I think the scam works by someone calling you and trying to impersonate someone who works for whatsapp, or something, and then trying to trick you into believing they're legit and the ones sending you that code. If you fall for it and give them the code you're being sent then they will have acces to your whatsapp account and then I don't know what they do from then.

Anyway I never felt for it as I don't even pick up those calls and without the code they can't do anything but just to be sure I activated the two step verification option. Despite that they still try to acces my account every now and then but they don't call anymore when they realize it has the two step verification.

I receive a lot of calls with different types of scams very often, mostly to my personal number but also to the phone in my workplace.
