I bought lighstick with the first 2 kpop concerts I've attended then the rest I didn't.

First 2 concerts I was afraid of looking like a bad fan for not having a lightstick but after I realize most dont have it either, I stopped bringing it. I just didn't want to lug it around and it also made recording harder but to each their own.

I didn't have one when I arrived to SHINee concert in Japan and the merch line was sooooo long.

Luckily jshawols are so nice and there were people giving out free older light sticks and merchs to others.

I came back from that concert with a bag full of free merch.

lightsticks unify the fans @ a concert and specially when the group says to like do a wave or yk do stuff with the lightstick

i already went to my local store (choice music LA) and they said they won't have it in stock in time for the concert dates so i'll just get it online with express shipping : )

I think it isn’t necessary. I did pay $ for an ARMY Bomb in my early newbie ARMY days but haven’t made it to a LIVE concert lol. I used it for the online concerts to date. If you have the means, then get it but if not, it is OK.

For BTS that utilizes the ARMY Bomb as part of the experience, I think it is kinda essential to the fandom experience.

Having said that, I recently went to a Daniel Kang concert, who I casually listen to without a light stick and it was totally fine. The local fan club handed out mini posters for everyone instead.
