So we all know there’s communities of people who engages in these things. The hate is more blatant and “in your face” to idols. Their SNS can get flooded with a lot of disturbing and hateful comments and even death threats. The perving is mostly done in secret or in siloed groups, so there’s must less chance of idols seeing it, whether comments or explicit images. As a fan, which is your primary concern?
Which concerns you the most: idols getting outward hate or secretly perved by fans

We all have crushes, but public hate breeds a gang mentality and if hating on someone or something becomes normalized enough (even if its justified) then people will atart to just associate that person or thing with negativity.
for instance: when i got into kpop at first SuJu was embroiled in many controversies because of the one homophobe and the one misogynist and so ive literally never heard a song from them once and ive listened to kpop for like almost 10 years now.

I think hate where idols can see is the worst. Like under their social media and stuff.

Perving is just as bad depending on circunstances - age of the idol, type of comment, who's engaging with it, irl behavior next to idol, etc.
But hate comments tend to have bigger consequences because of the tendecies of it spiralling into a witch hunt.
Thing is often these perverts feel free to be like that irl (just look at what happened to Nancy for example, or how people used to grab Wonho's body without consent). Meanwhile hateful people only act hateful on the internet, most dont act the way they act irl.
Look how similar pervs and haters are, with how former group turn normal stuff into a sexual thing when it isnt, and how the latter twist context just so they can hate the idol.
So both equally bad, i wont defend either

Neither to be honest.
